Mcguffins Collected: 2/4

So, as you guys know- our second LP was revealed to be Fallout: New Vegas. However, it could of been a very different story. As luck would have it, depending on what you think about Fallout, the recording we had attempted for our second LP was Darksiders on the PC. A game that Rick had completed, and at the time of writing so had Devyn. We may still do it, we were starting to get into it- but we felt Fallout was a better choice for us to improve our LPing prowess. However, I just wanted to write about why we wanted to do Fallout over Darksiders. Free will. Nick has a pretty powerful preference for RPG's free roaming and story, he didn't feel Darksiders had it. He just complained a lot, and it didn't really make for interesting commentary. Another point, that Nick & Devyn had sort of came to outside of the recording room, it's one long fetch quest. That isn't a bad thing in itself, but both Nick and Jordan had expected a lot more than what was promised, don't get us wrong it's a pretty fun game- but watching it? Maybe not.

Rayman Part 4 is here, sticking to this schedule isn't as much work we all thought it would be- but it certainly is still a lot of hard work, but it nice to feel like we've really accomplished something with all these videos. We're having a great time recording them, and hope you guys have a lot of fun watching them- even if we are a little shaking on camera sometimes (we're looking at you Batman: Forever) Also, before I forget- this video marks the first appearance of names hovering over our characters, in this LP and any other games that 2 or more of us are playing. We hope you enjoy this little extra feature to help you keep track on what's going on, this way we can waste less time on an intro and more time playing!

Fallout: New Vegas

Hey guys, we're all very proud to finally reveal what our next LP is going to be, and show you an episode of it! It's Fallout: New Vegas, if the title hasn't already given that away. Nick & Devyn have wanted to do this LP for a LONG time, whilst Rick isn't a huge fan of the series, and Jordan is a complete new comer- so, we've got a different selection of people that love, hate and just didn't know about this game. It should certainly make for an interesting play through.

Multiplayer Challenge Tekken 3!

Hey guys, we've got two videos for you today. Both in the realm of one of most nostalgic fighters even created, Tekken 3. The first video is the "official" video, if you will, and the second is a sort of bonus round. We just couldn't get enough of it the first time round. Also, we've a little information in the way of how the channel is going to run from today onwards. At the time of posting, we've created a official schedule- so you guys can always know when our next video is coming and what it's going to be. Starting Saturday, we will be releasing a multilayer challenge video the following Sunday will be the second part of the multiplayer challenge, if there is one and on 2 weeks out of every month we will post a "Backseat Gaming" The Monday will have part two of the BSG, if there is one. Tuesday through to Friday we'll be releasing 4 episodes of LP's, alternating between Rayman & and our second LP (currently recorded, we'll reveal it when it's ready)

So, as you can tell- we're really trying to push these videos- we're almost at one a day. We hope you guys enjoy our work, thanks for watching.

Disney's Aladdin Part Two.

Can Devyn's trousers possibly hold any more apples? Tune in it find out. As a side note, we've decided what our second LP is going to be. It's one Nick has wanted to do for a very long time, and just as fate would have it, he's already signed on to do another future project so he won't be playing, but we can assure that that he will definitely be backseat gaming! What we can tell you is that Devyn will be playing it and after he's had a chat with Nick and set up a rough plan of action we'll start recording.

Disney's Aladdin Part one.

Devyn tackles a game from Nicks childhood, and collects some sweet sweet apples in the process- after the oh so subtle hints from the rest of the team.

Perhaps a new direction?

This weekend wasn't the best, as recording sessions go. Fraps decided to be a complete tool and cause some interesting issues? It wouldn't work, then it was only recording black and a lot of other strange things. Rest assured, Ricks ego was systematically destroyed- along with his PC's credibility. Eventually, we managed to get everything in order and recorded a couple of "Backseat Gaming" episodes a multiplayer challenge & some episodes of Rayman Origins. We also TRIED to start recording another LP, it's a secret as to what because me may not release it. As a group we feel we need more practice with this style of episode and, hopefully, we'll improve as a result. As it goes, the Fraps issue returned after an hour or so of recording, so we had to scrap it.

That being said, we feel that LP's should feature a little bit more in the shows line up than they currently do. As it turns out, choosing a game to LP is a lot harder than we thought. We do have a couple of 4 player LP's we want to do, and as they're pretty rare we're sure you can guess a couple- but we do plan on playing some single player games, with the rest of the team commenting of course.
